Is There an Advantage to Maxing Out Heroes and Classes...

if one already has the epic star cards unlocked that one would like to use for said heroes and classes? I ask because I see people talking about maxing out their heroes and classes, and I was wondering if there's any advantages to doing so? Some star cards to me aren't worth using, I just doing know if maxing out accomplishes anything extra.

Replies

  • No. Just pick the 3 or 4 cards you like the most for each character. There is no reward for hitting max other than the xp bar no longer appearing at the end of a match.
  • Once all of your cards are purple, you get 1000 XP for each level up until you hit the max.
  • No, levels and cards are irrelevant

No. each character has anywhere between 2 - 4 really useful cards. That's it. Some characters have 5 really useful cards, but I can't think of any that has 6.

I would personally say that 8 of 9 of Obi’s cards are pretty useful.

HvV: Both frenzy cards + the card that increases damage when in proximity with another villain
GA: Hok card + both cards that affect pull ability (one increases damage & other range)

    To the OP,
    1. I only max out heroes I really like playing (Rey and Grievous (so far))
    2. I would definitely max out the basic trooper class you are best at/want to use to get heroes or special units in GA (for me Officer)

What to max out: favorite basic trooper classes, favorite heroes/villains

Concerning heroes: I would just suggest only taking heroes up to level 25. You unlock the epic level for star cards here, and, if you conserve your level points for the only star cards you know you will be using in GA and HvV (anywhere from 2-6 per hero depending on loadouts for each mode), you should have no problem making them all epic at level 25. I suggest using HvV as a game mode to level up heroes/villains since you earn more XP per match than Hero Showdown.

Concerning troopers: I would max out your best/favorite basic trooper class. There are so many combinations of star cards and special trait cards for each class, so maxing them all should give you any combination you want for any situation. I suggest using Extraction as a game mode to level up your troopers, it is fun and a great way to gain experience and practice with different loadouts.

    See you on the Battlefront!

  • Thanks for the information. I was thinking I had heard something about bonus credits or something of that nature once at the max level cap for a class or hero. It sounds like if you're already a level 50 overall, there's no bonus or advantage.

Once you max out all of the hero's respective cards, you'll earn 1,000 credits each time you level up until you hit the level cap at 40. That might be what you're referring to.

I think this is also true, but that is only 3-4k credits, and you can earn that playing approximately 4-6 hours of GA.

Certain Purple cards on Trooper classes will allow half decent players to dominate more in Blast and Strike ( faster kill rates , Battle and objective points )..and getting Enforcers which will dominate like Flamethrower...its disingenuous to state otherwise

  • If the network gods are smiling at you, cards don't make a difference.

This game is so random and bugged it doesn't matter.

I think around six of them can be useful, some of them are just too situational.

  • I think when you have all the cards at mythic for a character you should have some advantage, like a fourth slot.

If you're playing these characters anyway, it probably wouldn't hurt to level up star cards you currently don't want just so you're in a position to change tactics should you ever have a change of heart.

That would be cool, or the fourth card is just a hok card so you can equip the other three you actually want.

  • What I'd love to see is, a special skin for each class that can only be gotten after you max the class out.

    ASSAULT: Clone ARC Trooper

    HEAVY: Imperial Nova Guard

    OFFICER: First Order Special Forces

    SPECIALIST: Rebel SpecOps Infiltrator

    AERIAL: Clone Paratrooper

    ENFORCER: ARC Heavy Gunner
