Cards are not a good idea

Ok, I like the game because it doesn’t have power up like in Battlefront 1 and I like the campaign, but cards are destroying the game...

As a new player, it’s near impossible to play. People have cards that boost attack, grenades or defence/shield, so as a new player without boost, you are being one shot and it take lot of hit before killing someone.

This game is not fair...

With that and the way BF5 is, I think DICE doesn’t know how to make games anymore.

devs are giving you triple xp to level up. i've also asked them to give triple kill for unlocking guns, not sure if they will or not ...

by the way, just quietly, star cards don't give anyone a significant advantage (other than certain characters).

and for each guy there are only about 2-4 star cards that are really useful.

during the triple xp event, play blast.
  • This is where lootboxes would be really good for the game, instead of newbies being put off because they need a ton of kills for guns and attachments, they could simply spend money if they wish and they can catch up equipment wise to us launch players

Their skills are obviously not as good, but they may feel like learning the game instead of being put off having no cards, weapons etc

Ehh...I see your reasoning but honestly, I would just prefer a proper matchmaking system similar to other games (the eor mm needs to go.) Based on Individual Class levels and card rarity you would be put in a lobby with people that have similar equipment and skill (kind of.) The bare minimum of fixing the skill gap would be to just make it easier to obtain cards, weapons, and upgrades. The loot boxes make it pay to win and it's clear at this point that the gaming community has had enough of loot boxes. They have worn out their welcome. Reinserting the RNG loot boxes is going to hurt the game rather than help it.

I keep changing this for whatever reason but ehh...It can stay like this I suppose.
  • Cards only effect abilities, they don't make guns stronger, we all started out from scratch and some of us with that awful progression system

The less gambling the better, how people are so blind to this is dumbfounding, games shouldn't have any pay to win at all, if you want something you play to unlock it simple

I agree. Grinding to level up is pain in this game, it doesnt favor new players at all, but new players are still good. Beating veterans would be much easier if every body got same weapons and abilities and there would be grinding only for skins and for ranking system (which there isnt). This game was suppose to be P2W game, so that is why there is huge grinding for everything.

Oh rly? Funny, I seem to dominate just fine with 0 cards and even with default weapons... perhaps skill is what matters and not the cards...

It looks more like you’re playing against potatoes

Have you played this game??? I think the players in these games actually over performed compared to the average players in GA lul

Its not really pay to win, not when the cards and guns provide just a little difference, im level 70 all 4 classes, all guns unlocked and i still suck a lot (people will know as im same username in game as on here lol) nothing can beat real skill, but if lootboxes allow newbies to feel like they can make a small jump towards us then good stuff,

But it isnt gambling, and eveything is available to unlock through play time, but if a star wars fan who can only play for an hour or two at most per day wants to try get guns quicker then i dont see the issue, plus the loot boxes didnt cost real money, they were in hame credits, which you earn by playing
  • I agree, the whole system is dumb (and this coming from an all purple player). I don’t understand this “you need insentive to play” argument. You shouldn’t ever grind a game. You should be enjoying it while you play. The only thing setting apart the winner and the loser should be skill.
  • Star Cards only give a noticeable advantage to heroes, starfighters and Enforcers, not troopers, which is the majority of who you're encountering in GA.
  • Technically speaking the power ups still exist, they’ve just been moved to Troops, Enforcers and Heroes.

Yup. The only progression system which is tolerable in a FPS game is cosmetics only... any progression system which has functional gameplay elements in it is a detriment to FPS games.

    Are you talking about Fortnite?
Add more Extraction and SA maps please!

What the ROADMAP should look like for 2019/2020:
    “Season” 4: Clone Wars Revival
    “Season” 5: Episode IX
    “Season” 6: Rogue One

That last part was true because they removed the crystal transactions. You could still buy crates with crystals, but you could only get them in-game. However, they can be purchased again and are only used for cosmetic stuff. If the lootboxes came back, you would be able to buy them with real money.
May your heart be your guiding key.

Triple xp for troopers is next week. You'll be fine as long you take advantage. The officer class is the easiest one. Can level up to 70 in maybe 30 minutes start with them. Then heavy then assault then specialist.

You can have all my purple cards for say 20 million credits and some death sticks.

Agreed Level is so much more enjoyable/rewarding ....on PC of course it's never level =Pay to Win platform bar none
  • Just another player that expects to beat veterans on his first day playing the game. For trooper gameplay, cards will not give you an advantage. All it takes is the play time for you to learn the mechanics, the maps with its chokepoints and how each class works. A PVP game should always be skillwise. You don't have to be playing for over a year to be good in this game but experience is always a factor.

Which means a Git Gud is in order.

Seriously? It's not like I maliciously told him that just because. He has to play and learn the game. Expecting to wreck everyone on his first day is ludicrous in Battlefront or in any other game for that matter.

No, I am talking about the general principle. I have not played Fortnite and I have no clue what kind of progression system it has/doesn't have.

only one of my cards actually plays into my survival and i'm just fine

People cant buy their way to the top with cards lol, and you'll likely find the people buying cards are the poorly skilled ones that wont take proper advantage of them

But the OP is right, newbies coming in without endless hours to rank up will get annoyed as level 70 all purples smash them from pillar to post

HvV is the worst, take a rank 1 hero vs a rank 40 villain, its murder

I hate the grinding feel in games these days. Too much focus on it.

If everything was unlocked from the get go, no ‘tiers’ to cards... a lot more time and effort could have been spent making the game FUN and replay-able, than ‘working’ towards the next unlock. Some get upset and bored when there’s nothing left to unlock, it’s where the fun begins for me.

They could make skins and all grind-able, pretty much anything that doesn't effect game play.
