  • Also, i would like to see the rest of the trooper skins from the game come to Battlefront II.
  • I don't think they should put a large effort to porting content considering they've had manpower problems just getting the current DLC out. Focus on new content in 2019 that has a chance to revive interest in this game.

If they do port content, I think the following should happen:
    1. Bring in all skins from the 2015 game.
    2. Bring Supremacy game mode to this game. Of all the modes, I would think this is the one that would be the easiest to fit into the current Galactic Assault maps.
    3. Bring Scarif DLC into the game including Jyn Erso and Krennic.
    4. Bring more of the Extraction maps into the game.

Then have a fan poll in fall 2019 to see what fans want ported into the game after the inevitable Episode 9 content.

If manpower is the issue I think porting would be the most effective in terms of content produced to time spent working

Porting doesn't necessarily mean less work or quick work. Otherwise, they'd probably have all this stuff in the game already.
    .

    This.
Can’t remember what the number was exactly, but I swear I remember Forge saying basically the could do ten maps remastered in the time it would take to do 7 new ones.

I’d personally still take whatever brings more content at this point, but it’s not as quick a process as some think.

I’d love to see some weapons and equipment come back. There’s plenty of maps from BF15 I’d gladly play again in this game. Outside of the Scarif maps, all were pretty great and are definitely superior to their loot-front counterparts. Any and all heroes from the last game I’d be happy with as well. I miss the sound of Greedo’s DT-12.

  • Yes please. Sullust, DS, Scarif, Bespin maps.
Greedo, Dengar, Krennic, Flapjacks face and lovely Jyn.
Shock Trooper, Shadow Trooper, Rebel pilot skins.
    Astromechs and Viper droids.
    Hutt contracts.

    No, no, no!!!

I don't want Battlefront II to be a remake's remake. I want original content. I want prequel content and sequel content too. Of course I would like to see Scarif and other maps from Star Wars, but do we really need THE SAME THINGS they did back in 2015?? Really?? It is easy job but I prefer original things.

If you miss BF2015 then just play BF2015.

What? At least all DLC maps should be available in BF2 just because you could finally play them offline. Right now, you have to pray that you get a match online to enjoy them. And by creating GA maps of the large ones from BF2015 you would already be playing new content, since they would have to create new phases exclusively for BF2.
May your heart be your guiding key.

Funny thing is, when I was typing that, I had ‘at least that’s what they say’ on my mind, ending the first paragraph and failed to include it. o:)

Just a few grabs offline but it's already got more variety over the sequel; plus there is a lot more I didn't include but you get the gist

  • It would delay them from creating new content though.

I personally would rather have 3 - 4 ports per year over 1 new map.

That wouldn't be the ratio though. You say that they have already made the maps, but you forget that they would also have to reanimate them, since BF2015's graphics aren't as good as this one's.

The character models might need some work but the maps really do hold up. Now I wouldn't want to pull them away from new content so much but it stands to reason that the game needs a stronger backbone.

Also I'm certain the only new content we will get is going to be TCW. So how long till it's no longer proportional if we aren't already there? This game should have built off of everything already in the last, not scrapped it all.

No they don't. It can't be a direct port because the graphics would need to be reanimated. The maps would look out of place with the other maps in this game.

This game could definitely be improved if some of the best assets returned from the last game. I'd love to have all of the DLC maps brought over- particularly Bespin. The Carbon Freezing Chamber was something else, and I'd love to see how it plays after taking Battlefront II's changes into account. It would be great to have those maps available offline as well.

The SWBF 15 Jabba's Palace map for Extraction and the Bespin HvV maps both seem to be working well in this game so we know porting maps from SWBF 15 to this game can be done. Unfortunately it appears the only focus in this game is heroes and CW content and drip feeding it to the community.

It is from the list of things that they've said

    Crafting parts for duplicate cards

You can do a private HS match with a party of 4

    It's a crashed speeder

and more I can't think of right now.

Map fatigue is a real issue now, it seems silly not to use a series of ready made maps. I appreciate more effort would be required to phase the WA maps in a similar way to GA, all are workable.

I also think porting them would be an ideal time to fix the AT-AT targeting system. Which has been broken forever.

Tad controversial but I personally wouldn't mind if some of the old maps objectives remained fairly the same only because I think it would add some variety. I can't remember them all but I know a few were basically AT-AT escorting or defending lasers

It's not a question of can they be done. Its a question of how long it takes vs making new content. Notice we only got those two small maps ported in a full calendar year lol.

They would have to put in work to remaster the maps. As @Piscettios said, Forge has said the remastering process is significant enough that they can almost do as many brand new maps as ported maps. If they could give us 7 or 8 brand new maps vs say 10 ported maps we all played to death in BF2015, the vast majority would take the new maps.

Besides, Battlefront 2015 had a very bad habit of making completely separate large and small maps. So porting in maps from that game gets very mode specific. They didn't do like Geonosis and make a large map with cutouts for other game modes.

    Wouldn’t be against that either!

  • CARGO! Dengar, E11, A280C, Scarif.

But the possibility of adding 2015 Hoth / Tatooine to the current for the massive mode that is coming?
  • They need all the content from bf15 . also idk y they dont make the lightsaber combat in the current like in 2015 version. 2015 saber combat was as best as it can get.
