Iden Versio needs a nerf

Prev1
Every light side HvV match I have lost has been because of Iden.

She needs a serious change or something.

She cannot shoot inside her bubble. Run up and punch her.

LS blasters have more DPS than her. Shoot her back.

Shock Droid can be baited, and sabers can even ignore outright before killing her with R2R2R2R2R2.

So long as saber heroes continue to be R2R2R2, Iden remains a necessary force available. It's a shame that the LS doesn't have a copy of her, but in most cases, Han / Chewie / Lando will be able to provide the same role.

    Yep.

I'd normally say the droid batteries card needs fixed to give it's on paper value of 25% rather than 70% cooldown....

But sabers can stunlock and damage you simply by mashing one button and sort of keeping their character model within 10m of you (not even pointing in the right direction)

so getting .7 second stun every 6 seconds (assuming you do nothing to dodge it) is nothing by comparison and totally fine in the current post Dooku lightmagnent meta.

I'm going to play Iden regardless, but my rule is put away your cheesy glowbat and I'll put away Dio's extra batteries.

She’s fine in HvV, but overpowered as hell im HS.
  • She’s a hard counter for all LS blasters. She’s quality against sabers, but disadvantaged. All she needs is her droid cool down bug to be fixed. Bottom line, a skilled player can do very well with her. The same goes for all LS blasters.
  • No, she has already been nerfed quite alot since release and is in a pretty good place right now, with 1 exception, the bug on her stun cooldown decrease star card needs to be fixed so that the cooldown is the proper 15 seconds instead of 5 seconds.
  • While I find Iden to be somewhat unrealistically competent compared to the film heroes (if someone is playing Iden, you can bet she'll be one of the match's top players), the only thing I think she needs is some sort of emote gag.
EVERYONE who plays Iden seems compelled to spam 'Avenge our emperor!' at least several times during the match. That emote-spamming alone has made me really hate Iden - not her competency as a hero - despite me liking her when I played through the campaign, because I know whenever I see her, that darn emote is going to rear its shouty head again.

this is why the winning team can only win with certain heroes one time. Light side has Han which is also very good in HS, imo.

How is a veteran Imperial commando unrealistically competent compared to a gambler, a scoundrel or a senator?

Because if I just went and found the local drunk/gambler and made them fight a navy seal or spetznaz, they probably wouldn't do too well.

*That assuming they aren't one and the same person which they probably are.

and I'll have you know I spam the "special forces" emote more than any other. The Emperor one only gets spammed on immersion weekends when he's running around the game with me, or when he was killswitched.

  • Nah she's fine.

I don't know about you guys experienced with Iden but I never use the Pulse Cannon, takes forever to charge.

Also the alternate fire, I would prefer a scope instead of that small blast, blaster is useless past med range.

  • No, she is very fragile and easy to kill. Running headfirst into her stun is in most situations, your own fault

Stun mechanics are vomit in this game.
In all honesty, the stuns should work like the officer thing which disables weapons and also have the effect of the specialist shock grenade. That would be more balanced. It should also work against light sabres - turning them off temporarily making them vunerable, but not useless.
That or they should break on damage immediately. This way the stuns will be used for tactical reasons, rather than spammed like it's going out of fashion.

  • Iden is far from overpowered and doesn't need to be nerfed or buffed. There are easy counters for her. I don't understand the beef ?

Considering how easy it is to outright ignore, bait, or counter, yes. Yes it is.

Pulse cannon charge time is .6 second and does 362 damage on headshot. Also one shots troopers in the body.

It always causes lols. People don't expect to get instantly whacked from across the map especially as heroes.

also her pro pipe secondary fire is amazing. Breaks down saber blocks and one hit kills 150 health.

Considering how easy it is to outright ignore, bait, or counter, yes. Yes it is.

to the point where it's essentially a feature rather than a bug anymore.

Mechanically, it's really not much different than Phasma's droid (which shocks even more frequently) except it's mobile but can be dodged or saber blocked.

Well, that and it's attached to a hero that actually has a gun with decent killing power rather than one that merits a Darwin award if you lose to 1v1.

Honestly I've been using Chewie a bit for the first time since they made it not embarrassing to be seen playing him, and his stun is still waaaayyy better.

Doesn't matter your skill, you aren't dodging it, especially given you can ground slam first to set it up if necessary, and the cooldown being a little bit longer is irrelevant when your whole team has to spend it running back to the fight from the respawn screen they just got put in by one single hero using one ability cycle.

Yeah 1440HP Chewie with like 10 second CDs on FB/Stun/Slam should not be a thing that is possible in the game lol.

Oh and if there's also a Han/Lando who can aim well and throw their own cheeseball at the same frequency it's usually GG no re if they run you over and split you up in the first engagement.

DS is still better due to the spawns, target system and Boba, but you can output much cancer with the right LS comp.

  • As someone who recently fell in love with her, she needs a nerf & by nerf I mean fix her droid card. Other than that she's fine.... oh almost forgot he shield should not have 700 health other than that she's fine. Btw if you're lando or chewie stun her & walk into her bubble and shoot her. Pro tip
  • Btw if you're lando or chewie stun her & walk into her bubble and shoot her. Pro tip

Yep, easy way to beat her, yet most Lando/Chewie I see melee when I put up the bubble and free me from the stun

There is no bug and is working as intended, any nerf to her will cripple her at this point as they no longer buff while nerfing anymore, so do as we all do and adapt

I agree with these points. I feel dirty using her in HvV as she's incredibly nooby.

I'll add that her secondary fire should have a reduced aoe, so there's at least some skill involved. I've hit a wall 10 feet to the side of a character and still hit them, ha ha ha.

Iden is fine as she is. Players just have to learn how to play the game better. If you can’t kill her then maybe you should practice in arcade more
  • she mainly just needs her cool down on her stun fixed so its the correct time with the card on.
Dont act a fool and you wont get called out. PSN: DarthOdium- old PSN:unit900000
  • Iden is fine as is. What Iden and her troopers do need is to have an mp map of Vardos to play on. DICE needs to stop "adjusting" heroes and create new maps for mp and adding Vardos would be a good start.

Yeah, it's not so working as intended. It would of been 15 seconds had the game's code been correct the whole time.

Man! Could this game get any more broken?
  • It's a freaking bug that needs to be fixed. Stuns are overpowered in this game. Iden, Lando, Chewie or Kylo (with teammates) can melt any hero in a matter of seconds. And she can use it every few seconds.

Lightsabers are buggy as hell too. Sometimes you can saber lock someone, but also a lot of times (right now) sabers don't deal damage in close quarter situation.
