I am looking forward to the realistic fight between Simba and Scar. Especially after seeing the awesome fight between the animals in The Jungle Book.

Should have brought back Jeremy Irons to voice Scar imo. The new actor just doesn't do the character justice imo. Some character are just so iconic that they can't be recast, and I feel like Scar is one of those characters. They brought back James Earl Jones for Mufasa, so why not bring back Jeremy Irons as well?

I'm also concerned by the rumors from a few months back that Scar's song, Be Prepared, had been cut from the movie completely because of the "offensive" scene of the Hyena's goosestep marching below Scar on the cliff. Why not just alter the scene to remove the offensive ***** references instead of cutting the song entirely? Be Prepared is the best out of all the Disney villain songs imo, if it's really not in the movie I will be majorly disappointed.

Ah. Well I'm not worried about his directing at all, he directed the Jungle Book remake which was great, not to mention Iron Man. It's mainly the casting that concerns me with this new Lion King remake. I didn't mind cast changes with The Jungle Book remake, because a. most of the original cast is dead, and b. I didn't watch the animated Jungle Book that often when I was a kid, so I don't have the same kind of attachment to it that I have to The Lion King, which I watched probably 15+ times in my life.

My wife is a big fan of The Lion King and isn't particularly thrilled that they are remaking it.

But counterpoint to all that, is that since I was just a little too old (22) to feel anything for the original (I was 'too cool' for that...lol), so I am actually looking forward to this new movie.

While the movie was great (I watched in 3D), because the story is the same to the old version, you just knew the story already instead of making new original tale.

The animals look so realistic they barely had any facial expression unlike the cartoon did. Literally the lions all looked the same to me and some shots were replaced.

I saw this movie when I was a kid, and I actually want to watch it.

Normally I don’t care for Disney movies but this one hit me in the feels as a kid.
