10% discount on jedi: fallen order not available on pc when owning Battlefront 2.

So I want to pre-order jedi: fallen order and if you own battlefront 2 on xbox or ps4 you can get a 10% discount ingame. I contacted ea support in a chat and the guy told me the game devs themselfes choose promotions. So why did you guys chose not to give me this promotion because I'm on pc?

:/ Wait, we barely know anything about it yet?

Truth you speak. All the more reason to not preorder. Benefit of the doubt is not something EA deserves anymore
  • Just seems weird pc is left out of the promotion.

there is basically every advantage possible when you get a game three to six months later. Especially if it's single player. you can argue in multiplayer you get behind the curve, but even then you don't have to pre-order.

Yep and the YouTube vids help you try before you buy so to speak

i think its only deluxe edition. doesnt work for my ps4
  • I watched trailer and it looks like Force Unleashed 3, I never played those games very much. I am waiting for reviews first and more gameplay videos, before pre-ordering or buying anything.
  • Its EA, so buying it at all is a risk. Preordering after they way players have been treated in this game is unwise IMO. I'll wait until well after its launched to decide.

Just wait a month or two, or however long it takes for people to realize it isn't that great, and you can buy it for 50% off. Problem solved.

Same I want to hear what people are saying about it a month after it's release.

Well perhaps it’s not a sale on PC yet because PC typically has way more sales for games than console versions do and they’re easily accessible compared to console versions (you either purchase a physical copy from a retailer or buy the digital through the PS Store or Xbox Live).

Sadly this means you’ll have to wait a while, probably after launch to get a good deal on PC.

Not really a reason to not give 10% for owning battlefront 2.
  • I beg you ... please do not preorder any games. All it does is pay for something unfinished and encourage publishers to release an incomplete game. Pay for it when done... we as consumers need to vote with out wallets. You'll get our money when game is complete.

This game is incomplete yet we already paid for it

And "we" should not have. It's just been getting worse.... Publishers are rushing developers to release games because publishers get that early cash with pre orders. Games are just releasing less and less complete.

I LOVE RESPAWN... sorry the great experiment didnt work and they had to sell their studio to EA. However, I will not support a publisher like EA with a preorder with a horrid day one release quality. Please do not give them your preorder money.

  • Do not pre-order!

10% is a complete joke and just a way to lure people into preordering which is a very unhealthy thing for the gaming industry. You are basically buying a game without knowing anything about it. Also don't forget, it's EA we are dealing with here. So guess what EA...

Nothing wrong with preordering if you plan on buy the game anyway to collect/

I agree with the notion that the smart move here would be to go nowhere near this game until a competent round of reviews have been released post launch.

To buy this game on release would be naïve.

To preorder would be ... Well.... Worse.
  • Or just don’t preorder, and this becomes a non-issue.

How you can think 2 secs pre-ordering, or even buy a EA games after the BF2 experience so far?

I like star wars but for sure I will not buy fallen jedi after the BF2 disaster.

Lol I made this post to discuss it...
You people keep going off track I just want my 10% discount.
  • Still no discount...
  • I know this isn't the point of the thread, but please don't pre-order. You know nothing about the game, it's like buying a car before you even know its specs or what it looks like.
Anyways, if you want the discount, I suggest waiting a few months after release when you get even bigger discounts than a measly 10% off.
442nd And 332nd are the BEST
  • Wait for it to bit the discount bin. Or the five fingered discount

It is, quite frankly. Must not be an active PC gamer. If it’s really that big of a deal to you, like someone else said, don’t pre-order. 10% is not much of a discount to begin with.
