I feel contradictory emotions. I'm happy with the droidekas and the other good contents this CT. Good work devs!
But that doesn't avoid that i feel very frustrated, other year to a only one new map is too time. Battlefield V will have 5 new maps in near months.
Please, max prority and more resources to make news maps more fast.
Others:
- Still without new weapons. This is a shotter game! We need more weapons. For exemple the T-21, E-22, Cycler rifle or Pulse cannon.
- Lack many reinforcements like the magnaguards, geonosian warriors, ewooks, etc.
- Lack many skins of troopers and of heroes. There aren't skins for stormtroopers, the rebels/resistance skins are mediocres and not enought.
- Lack the paratrooper clone skin.
- There are many vehicles inside this game still we couldn't drive them: OG-9, Dwarf Spider droid, Snail droid, HMP.
BUT WHERE ARE MY REPUBLIC COMMANDOS!?
Keep the updates coming, just make sure you get more OT content like Rogue One in at some point. It would stink for rogue one to be the only unrepresented star wars movie.
Overall were all happy with the contenr coming in June. But the people just feel like it took too long. Its been a year since they began working on clone wars content. If this was on a season pass, this wouldve only lasted 3 months.
Personally tho? I'm just want new guns but I like reinforcements so idc that the community transmission seemed "lackluster" for a 18 month old game that obviously is not a high priority for DICE.
Well it seems that someone forgot something, after all the controversy with the system of progression of the game, many employees who were working in the Battlefront migrated to other projects, such as Battlefield V. So the amount of people who are working in the game currently, are LIMITED, if it had the same amount of employees or even more, surely would already have much more content.
BUT
I will agree with others on OT content. I do love The Clone Wars era and everything it has to offer, but I also love the OT and Sequel eras. I am hoping that you support this game through 2020 (a BIG hope) if you don't add that stuff this year. If you do, all I want to see is OT Capital Supremacy, tatooine is already a perfect setup to start the mode and then Rogue One content (maybe Scariff and Jedha??? then some heroes or SKINS FOR THE EMPIRE??????).
If you are worried about the ship interiors and making the models (which I can understand, it takes a long time expecially with a skeleton crew), then what you should do is rethink the mode. Make it exactly like the Original Battlefront 2 Conquest mode, just capture command posts and eliminate the enemy reinforcements.
And then on top of that, add in a Space Conquest mode EXACTLY like the original Battlefront 2, but with a twist. You have to take out the enemy capital ship and defeat enemies to gain points. To take out the enemy capital ship, you can attack exterior areas OR board the ship and destroy it from the inside. Put a ton of AI bots inside the ship defending, bots outside attacking. THEN, each player starts inside their capital ship. There are 2 classes, the Pilot and the Marine. Pilot is like the officer class with a pistol, they also have less health and reduce the health regen time for their current ship. The Marine is like the heavy class. Now, players can choose from a variety of different ships inside the hangar bay for them. Interceptors, fighters, bombers, all of them in their specific areas. The fly out of the specific exit (venator is above or below, juggernaught is the sides, etc etc, make the interiors here) Now you have to take out shields to board the enemy ship and blah blah blah, just like the original game. The only twist is you should be able to be heroes and board the enemy ships with them. You have Maul and Yoda, just make Anakin Obiwan (remove chewie from this roster someday please) and then you have Grievous, Bossk and Dooku (all with ships you could make easily). The bots on the ships can be enough to defend and also players can reboard and defend their ships as well giving great teamplay.
This way, with this new mode you can focus on one aspect with maps. The ground CS map won't need the capital ships so you can make all the OT maps into them now while you make the ship interiors for the space supremacy. This will also shorten matches so people can play more than one map/match in an hour. Also, you would have a whole new mode and bring life back to starfighter assault (which I want to play but can never find a match). Also, maps for this mode would be a lot easier than ground maps to make once you have the capital ships created. All you need is to position the ships, have them fly around, add in cruiser ships, asteriods, new planet backdrops, really anything to make these maps work.
I have so many ideas for this game and I just wish I had a good way to feed them to you or help add them to this game! I love game development and am currently studying it so thinking of this stuff is more than just a hobby, its literally what I do on a daily basis (as well as make my game). I don't know if others want this kind of stuff, but if so great. I think this stuff will bring back nostalgia to players and will reath so much life into this game.
Firstly id love to say that I was very surprised at the addition of the TX-130 and the Droidekas and the new skins and Felucia.
I would like to give you guys some ideas ive developed and what some people have been saying for possible future DLC/more content for this game. via a word document.
for the past 2 months ive been developing a couple of ideas.
In a summary these include:
Disclaimer The Coruscant map will be able to use every class in the game such as standard troopers, Enforcer, Infiltrators, Starfighters, Hero Starfighters, Heroes, Speeders, tanks etc.
and the Battle stations game mode will have every reinforcement that can be used on each faction.
*These maps will also be Era locked for heroes and hero star fighters as well.*
Additional Weapons
the following are a list of weapon ideas that are non hero based and the . these include the following:
Assault
• E-11D (improved cooling, Improved range, Ion shot)
• Bo Rifle (duel zoom, improved cooling, Ion shot)
• Death watch blaster carbine (duel zoom, improved cooling, improved recoil)
Heavy
• T-21 (improved cooling, rate of fire, Explosive shot)
• T-21B (duel zoom, Improved range, Ion shot)
• Trandoshan Blaster (improved range, improved cooling, disruption shot)
Officer
• DL-18 (Night vision, improved cooling, explosive shot)
• Fully auto DH-17 (duel zoom, rapid fire, improved cooling)
• SE-14C (night vision, fully auto, ion shot)
• Weequay Pistol (duel zoom, improved cooling, ion shot)
• Westar 35 pistol (improved cooling, ion shot, explosive shot)
• Trandoshan Pistol (Night Vision, improved cooling, reduced recoil)

In the Document I have been creating these ideas in. It also contains details explaining how the Weapons handle, an example of this is with the Cycler rifle: "This sniper will start off (without any attachments) with a long reload, It will fire 2 shots till it will need to cool down, and a low velocity projectile. It will also have a 1 shot capability from the chest and upwards."
The Starfighter Enforcer Project Headhunter
This starfighter is based on Heavy Assault Starfighters
the following is a rough idea about the specifications:
• Health: will be between a Fighter and interceptor of the Faction
• Primary blaster damage: In between Factions bomber and Fighter
• Primary Blaster rate of fire: In between Factions bomber and Fighter
• Speed: equivalent their factions’ fighter
• Abilities: there abilities will recharge slower than any standard class starfighter
• Cost: GA ~ 1.2-2.3k BP; SA ~1.5k BP
• Player Limit: GA - 1; SA ~ 3-4 per team.
• Unique ability: Shield – a temporary shield that blocks damage base shield lasts for about 2 – 3 seconds or will add more health over the base health of the Vehicle (similar to the Droidekas)
The Vehicles that these will link to will include the following:
Republic: Z-95 Headhunter
Seperatists: Rogue class Starfighter (The Magna guards starfighter)
Empire: TIE Defender
Rebellion: B-wing
The Document also provides more detail about the individual star fighters abilities.
Bringing back Battle Stations (But with more maps)
This was a great game mode in my opinion in 2015 Battlefront but Personally could have used more maps:
In Battlefront II, it would be cool to have the Deathstar 1 return but also include Deathstar II and Starkiller base as they were also Battlestations.
these map ideas are as follows:
• Death Star 2
This match will start out with the Captured Lambda class shuttle travelling to Endor where the Rebellion will be tasked to take out the Shield generator protecting the second Death Star.
Then if the rebellion are successful then it will proceed to Phase 2 where there will be a cutscene of the Rebellion forces going to the home one class star cruiser where they will get into the fighters, interceptors, bombers and potential head-hunter (enforcer) starfighters (New starfighter class proposed at the start of the document) and be tasked with Destroying the Executor class star destroyer while also trying not to get completely destroyed by the enemy players as the galactic empire defending the Super star destroyer.
If the Rebellion is successful then they will proceed to Phase 3 where they will remain in starfighters and be tasked to go into the core of the Death Star 2 and destroy the core while navigating through claustrophobic tunnels and not being destroyed by the Galactic empire (like episode 6) however in each of these stages, if the Empire is successful in destroying the designated amount of Rebel Forces they will be victorious and the Match will go to the next map in the rotation or next round (like how GA works).
• Starkiller Base
The round will start off on the ground similar to the GA map except the cutscene will have a group of Resistance troopers exiting the Millennium falcon.
They will be tasked with going inside the entrance of building that’s in GA and disabling the commlink and the prison (last phase of GA) if that is complete they will move on to the second phase, if not the game will end
The second phase will comprise of the Resistance being tasked with blowing up turrets to pave a way for a selected group of fighters to go into the reactor and blow it up like in Ep 7. If that is completed then the resistance will win, if they loose too many tickets the First order will be victorious.
These are rough ideas about how the matches will play out.
A Coruscant map idea (based on 2003 clone wars)
This Map idea incorporates ideas from the Extraction, Capital Supremacy, Galactic Assault and Starfighter Assault.
The round will start on foot with the Separatists being tasked to capture and escort Chancellor Palpatine to A separatist shuttle if the separatists are successful then the match will progress to phase two, meanwhile the clones will be tasked to just eliminate a specific number of enemy troops, (the game will be in overtime if a droid is still escorting Palpatine when they run out of tickets.) however if the clones defeat a number of droids then the republic wins and it will move to the next match and win the game.
The Second phase will have republic being tasked to take out 2-3 Munificent class star frigates then proceed to destroy turrets/shields of Grievous’ Providence class Dreadnought “Invisible Hand”. If the clones are successful then the match will proceed to phase 3, if the droids destroy a specific number of enemy ships then the droids will become victorious.
In the 3rd phase the clones will be tasked with 2 tasks, one to destroy the components in the Capital ship (like Capital supremacy), while also escorting Palpatine out of his room, (same room that was in Ep 3). IF the clones are successful then they win, if they lose too many tickets they will be defeated, however , (the game will be in overtime if a clone is still escorting Palpatine when they run out of tickets.).
CONCLUSION:
these are only some of the ideas ive developed that are only more complete then some of the others.
I hope some of these ideas spark some additional ideas to the developers and If you guys would like to see more details from the document feel free to let me know.

Right, because 1 hero, 1 Villain, and 3 planets to represent the clone wars at the start of the game amounts to 1/3 of the game. If that's 1/3 of an entire game, then this game barely had anything...oh wait, it had lots, mostly OT stuff.[removed]

You must not know anything about Star Wars. Luke and Leia born in prequel. Yoda and Chewie were in prequel. Darth and the Emperor were in prequel. Boba doubles for Jango.
You're also forgetting about SFA with 2 maps per era, 3 ships of 2 of 3 eras.

To all those complaining about there being no OT or ST content; there was an announcement at the beginning of the year clearly stating that this year would be focusing on the clone wars era. You should not expect any content from aforementioned era's besides skins here n' there and balance changes. Doing so will only disappoint you. You were duly informed of this, so please stop acting surprised when you don't get content for your preferred Era. Expect real ST content when episode IX drops.
Furthermore, from what I've heard dataminers have found new weapons in the code so hopefully Dice will give us some information on that topic soon.
I am personally glad to see this game now continuously receiving more updates, along with plans and roadmaps for the games future.
P.S - Despite not being the most significant battle, it will be beautiful to see Felucia in Frostbite. Keep the ball rolling Dice!

Remember, you can't please everyone , but you can make some bad*** updates (and cookies). You guys have outdone yourselves now, with Felucia, with Droidekas, with BX-Commandos, CS, with everything .
I'm sure you'll put in the new weapons and skins, but if not, then it doesn't matter, all the weapons are already balanced. We have enough content with what the majority of people asked for *CLONE WARS* and I'm sure that at some point, there will be a time for the GCW, but as of now, everyone wanted CW, and that is what we have, and I'm happy (Even though I hate the new series, but I was a huge fan of the old ones, and CW has always been my favorite era, so perhaps I'm biased). Also, YES, we're getting offline support soon, don't worry...

I wonder what these vehicles will be like.
Droidekas have been one of the reinforcements I've been dying to see realized in Frostbite, and so far they look promising. Of course, with these additions they either tend to be horribly ineffective or ludicrously overpowered, I hope they strike the sweet spot the Infiltrators did. I'm also worried on how they'll handle rough terrain and inclines, as I imagine they could be very wonky and frustrating to handle (much like the speeders). I'm curious about their weaknesses, as I wonder the effect Ion weaponry will have on them. But Droidekas bring up another set of questions... why another Separatist reinforcement? We still don't have OT or ST Infiltrators- or even a unique Clone Enforcer that isn't an effing Wookiee- but the Droids get yet another unit to bolster their lineup? And what about a counter unit? Will we be seeing Clone Commandos or Galactic Marines paired against them? And you mention they share an ability with its "fellow Enforcers", is it actually a new Enforcer? One that replaces the Supers on certain maps? Or is it another type of unit, like the datamined Sentinels and Pilots? It's great to have them- really, it is- but it's unfortunate that none of the other factions are getting love.
The Saber tank is a pleasant surprise. I'm frustrated with vehicles more often than not, but I am happy that the Republic finally get a proper tank opposing the AAT, especially since I have fond memories of them from the last game. I'd love for them to open up the possibility of 2 player vehicles, but that's a topic for another time. Yet again, however, I'm left asking "What about the other eras?" The ST doesn't really have anything, but I'd love some better tank options for the Rebellion as well.
Another pleasant surprise is the next map being Felucia. I was sure the next map would be something a bit more... prominent, like Mustafar, Utapau, or Coruscant. Granted, I have a feeling at least one of those is in the pipeline, but would take way more time to get right... so we're getting Felucia for now. That's just a Theory a Game Theory please kill me. But I gotta say, I'm happy! New maps are always welcome, whatever (well, almost, could do without Canto Bite), and Felucia is one of my favorite locations to see. It's easily the most alien and exotic world we've seen from Star Wars in my eyes, and I can't wait to get my boots muddy there. I do hope the intermission will see a few OT locations join Capital Supremacy (namely Mos Eisley) in the meantime, but that's me setting myself up for disappointment (and giving too much credit to the developers). Add that it's likely coming at the end of or well after August in all likelihood is frustrating.
Then there's the skins... *sigh*. I hate to sound like a broken record, but ANYTHING for other eras and factions would be nice. I hope it's not two-faced to faced to say I do like what we're getting (especially the Recon and Scout troops), but we've still gotten nothing for anyone else. No Empire skins. No FO skins. No other gender or species options or the Rebels/Bootleg Rebels Resistance. Not even anything for the faction directly opposing the Clones. And every update that goes by with no Luke skins means that Samara will crawl out of your development monitors sooner.
Of course, this all comes back to the other issues and lacking content in every other part of the game. We have no new weapons. Or Star Cards. No more small scale modes. Or modes with infantry only. So many quality of life changes that can be made, like server browsers, or custom matches, anything. Even just bug, balancing, and performance issues would be a miracle. And we're still stuck with getting one map for one mode every few months. I don't think it's entitled to wish we were getting more substantial and far-reaching updates, rather than ones that barely set-up a year's worth of slow improvements and additions. Ah well, only DICE and EA know what the future holds... and that's unfortunate.

I wasn't expecting any, but I see your point. Starfighter Assault's post-launch support has been pitiful. They need to get Criterion back in here to make some new maps, new hero ships, and new reinforcements for Starfighter Assault.
I don't understand why DICE can't at least give us some new hero ships using existing assets. They gave us Iden's TIE Fighter and Lando's Falcon... how about Jango Fett's Slave I and Padme Amidala's Chromium N-1 Starfighter?

Even there are +10 new weapons leaked.
Because they camouflage better in many maps. The one you are suggesting would stand out in most maps like most of the other white clone trooper armors we currently have.

This BF2 is getting close to the old one IMO. Still need to convert all online mods to offline so that we can play the game when the player base will fall. Still miss some SA content. Still miss a few heroes (Jango, Windu). I don’t want any trooper’s new weapons as I believe they will probably unbalance the class. Still miss a few heroes ship for SA (obi-wan and Jango from EP2, anakin from EP3). But most of all, we need a Scarif GA or extraction map. The ST lacks content right now as there are just 2 movies but the OT can get more. I really like the PT but I feel sad for the ST and OT lovers waiting for content since last

Tbh, I think a big part of that is that additions to this game are all free...
SWBF had 4 Seasons dropped but were all purchased content...
SWBFII is all free and following the loot box debacle it probably really hit DICE / EA where it hurt...the wallet.
2 Player vehicles are impossible since the servers are 20 v 20 already. If 64 v 64 was a thing then full-scale wars and landing at point rain stuff could be true. Even AT-TE require a gunner on top of the mass-drive cannon so that you could shoot while on the move.
Mustafar is not for the GA or CS yet HvV.
Utapau less likely because it was not a front but more of a paratroop landing distraction. It was just short...
Battle over Coruscant maybe but it was more of a space battle unless an extraction map where grievous leads a batch of droids to kidnap palpatine where clones and shaak ti defends the chancellor.
Felucia, Saleucami, Mygeeto, Mimban, Muunilinst, Jabiim were long lasting theaters.
