Community Quests: Main Thread

This week marks a series of events that we are calling Community Quests. These will take place throughout the month of July and conclude partway into August.

Each week, there will be a pair of two Community Quests for a specific Clone Wars-era hero or villain. Once a challenge has been completed by the community, the rewards for them will become available to anyone that logs in before the Community Quest ends.

The progression of these events will be updated regularly, so check back within the threads to see the overall community progress! Each quest runs for nine days, starting on Thursdays. Have fun!

Challenge: Choke Enemies with "Choke Hold" ability as Darth Maul.
Reward: Darth Maul Voice Line - "Kenobi"

Throughout the months of July and August we had held a series of Community Quests for specific Clone Wars-era heroes or villains. This week we wrap up the Community Quests with Yoda. The final Community Quests start on August 1st and will run until August 11th. Once the challenges below have been reached, the rewards for them will become available to anyone that logs in before the Community Quest ends.

Community Quest: Wisdom and Experience
Challenge: Use Yoda's Presence ability on allies.
Reward: Yoda Voice Line - "Trust You Not"

How often will this be updated so we can keep track of the progress? Because I noticed there is no in game progress bar like the Leia event.

We'll be aiming to have these updated every few hours as the events progress. They will most likely update faster nearer the completion of the event too.

Could I help complete these quests offline? For example, would any enemies I eliminate with Maul in Arcade add up to the Quest?

In the past when we have had events like this, offline did not count. Maybe you will get an official answer though. But just in case you don’t, assume no.

Probably not because technically you could set it to one hit and that would be to easy I feel you though, I don’t have gold right now but hey, free stuff

Offline / Arcade mode isnt supported with the Community Quests, sorry!

It would definitely be unfair for a variety of reasons, offline / arcade isn't supported with the Community Quests.

These events are expected to get underway shortly after the July update is released, check back at around 11:00 UTC.

Okey I honestly have to say that I'm kinda disappointed with the new 'Kenobi''s Maul Voice Line.
Guys I was expecting Maul's yell from the Star Wars Rebels TV series when he's wandering in Tatooine and let out a desperate scream like ''KEENOUUUBEEEEEEEEAAAHHHH'' and then the eco makes its job at his surroundings...

@T0TALfps Will there be another chance to collect these rewards like what was done with the Princess Leia skin, or will being away for the duration of one of these cost me the chance of obtaining it permanently?

Done my bit. First few games in a while and got about 30 kills with maul on CS over a couple games, and multiple choke throws.

By my calculations (well, Bing’s calculations), in order to complete “Feel Your Rage” we need to get 250000 kills a day.

In the future, could you support Arcade in Community Quests? There are ways to make it fair. One way is by only making specific scenarios count towards the goal, for example only matches in Custom Arcade with Expert AI, Default settings, Radar minimap, 4-8 troopers on player's team, 8-10 on enemy team would count towards the goal. Could you do something like that?

Is the ingame counter bugged? It shows me only 4 chokes and around 300k kills every single time I log in, but kill counter seem to work, only choke one is bugged

Feel Your Rage is currently counting, we are however aware of the issue with Old Rivalry currently displaying 4/800,000.

So Old Rivalry, On a Roll, and Charged and Ready don’t track accurately. That’s 3/6 of the new timed challenges or milestones that you just released that don’t work. Why release these if they don’t work? When this game works properly it’s a blast to play. However, it has more glitches and things that don’t work as they should than any game I’ve ever consistently played.

Maul is so much fun to use. The only reason I bought the game was because Darth maul was going to be a playable character.

Personally my most favorite hero in the game too, I absolutely love the double lightsaber and the speed at which its used. Love it.

Ladies and gentlemen, please remember EA is a company and needs to make money. Pumping out new free DLC doesn’t really bring in a revenue stream. They are doing all this because they mostly trying to fix the bad press they got over the botched loot crate stuff. I’d be ok if they don’t release anymore new content so long as they make the following fixes/changes:

1.) Server connectivity
2.) change the heroes vs villains stafighter to be the same as heroes vs villains (overall kill count and resplendent as another hero).
3.) Have milestones and challenges track accurately and show true progress after each match

now, if they DO keep churning out new content, here would be my wishlist:

Skins-
Luke Skywalker- Bespin, Original Tattoine, x-Wing Pilot, Old Man Luke, Endor
Darth Vader- Damaged & unmasked (Ie Return of the Jedi), Evil hooded Anakin
obi-wan Kenobi- Old Man Obi-wan
Leia- Bespin, older General
Darth Maul- Hooded, Cyborg from the Clone Wars

Maps-
Capital Supremacy- Original Trilogy maps
Mustafar map for Heroes vs Villains (imagine being able to force throw fools into lava!)
