    Is that how it works? I remember having to land multiple shots just to do any significant damage. It’s been a while but I don’t think it’s one shot and an automatic 825 damage

    It definitely isn’t one shot. Multiple shots are needed, perhaps someone can provide accurate numbers.
    If you haven’t landed enough shots the damage ends after 15s(?) without killing the hero.

    Wether potential hero cards have an influence, I don’t know.
  • I don't think it's a 15 second timer, I believe it is shorter. And whether this new passive HoK card will neutralize the effectiveness of the Stinger Pistol remains to be seen.

    The stinger pistol should do 75 damage every shot and do 50 damage every second and last 15 seconds fully upgraded 

    Buff the Stinger Pistol. 


    if the stinger had such statistics, it would be the end of all lol absloment everyone would be a specialist, the hero would be considered a big baby compared and there would be no reason to play anything else. Nice troll ^^

    That doesnt sound right. That would be wayyyy to OP. I think I've died to the stinger like twice. I admittedly dont use specialist very often though, so I could be wrong. I prefer melting heroes with the TL50/Sentry/Vanguard/Enforcer with Overload/SE44c with rapid fire/Infiltrator... stingers are fine. Leave em as is.
  • The Stinger Pistol is fine where it is. I does NOT need a buff. I ALWAYS carry the Stinger Pistol card along with Survivalist and Hardened Infiltration at Tier 4. If you read the description of the Stinger Pistol card, is specifically states "prevents health regeneration and deals extra damage to Hero's". At Tier 4, the duration is 10 seconds with every shot with a base damage of 2HP per second IF the Hero has some defensive immunity, hence the "red shield" flashing when the damage is ticking. I've stung a Yoda, and damage was 2HP per tick. Sometimes it's 4HP per tick for 10 seconds depending on immunity. The Hero will most likely run away to recover HP then get back into the fight. Sure, they'll feel "salty" about someone trying to ruin their kill streak by using the Stiner Pistol, but who wants a Hero running around all match just trashing the game feeling they are superior mashing MOUSE 1 as a strat? Also, if you all haven't noticed or know by now, not all Hero's can regen back up to full HP, however, the update allowed Hero's to regain HP passively per kill on Troopers and Hero's. So, the Stinger Pistol kind of balances this out so they are not regenerating to full HP but needing to kill players to regain HP faster unless you are Bossk who can fully regen back to 600HP.

    Not every Specialist is running around with the Stinger Pistol card. Those that are, know "some" Hero's are a threat, especially the sweaty Anakin, Yoda, Obi-Wan, Vader, Grievous and Maul mains with high ranks. Also, Clone Commando's are another high threat in the game, so, I specifically target them due to their ridiculous damage reduction ability.

    I don't care what people say about the Stinger Pistol, it does it's job as intended. Carrying the Stringer Pistol does not make you a "noob". Players really think you can stand there and shoot Trooper weapons melting a Hero when all they need to do is mash MOUSE 1 or push or pull you with one button and call it a day while they slash you with 1-3 strokes of the Lightsaber and kill you, rather try to Sting them and watch them flee.

    Players are already complaining about how the Stinger Pistol deals too much damage to begin with as it stacks. What?? You're joking right? LOL. Sorry, but there's only TWO Trooper star cards in SWBF2 that's DoT....Stinger Pistol and Acid Launcher. Acid Launcher really isn't as popular as the Stinger Pistol. Both in my opinion are under utilized if you crack down the data numbers how widely each are used by players. Besides, the Clone Commando has a HIGHER chance of killing a Hero 1v1 and winning than Stinger Pistol vs Hero 1v1. Let that marinate.

    Hero's can be brought down by a gang of Troopers shooting them at once (depends on their shooting skill). However, it does not take much to 1v1 a Hero with a Stinger Pistol. It's not meant to "kill Hero's" but rather let them think about using a different strategy when they are stung and losing HP.

    When I started using stinger pistols, it was considered a poor choice of a weapon. "Elite" players poked fun of it and not a single one would admit changing their strategy, let alone defeated by it. It's a great clearing a choke point from a safe distance and a psychological weapon when your opponent wants you to consider his kill streak before breaking out the Stinger.

    Just remove the stinger and make its damage over time an inherent feature of all base-4 trooper weapons
