Hello there,

It’s been great watching your reactions to the arrival of both BB-8 and BB-9E last week, and we hope you’ve been enjoying Supremacy within the Age of Resistance.

With the BB Update now live our next deployment is a small patch, which goes live on Wednesday, Feb 12th. This patch has a number of fixes, including issues such as BB-8 and BB-9E having the wrong VO lines and a fix for General Grievous’ Claw Rush sometimes draining all the stamina of an opponent.

We’ve also implemented various collision, visual effects and lighting improvements across both MC85 Star Cruiser and the Resurgent-Class Star Destroyer.

Some balance changes are also arriving in this patch, with the Ovissian Gunner, Caphex Spy, Sith Trooper and First Order Jet Trooper having their Battle Point gain reduced by 50% to bring them in line with other Reinforcements.

We are lowering the heat cost for the spool-up functionality on the Heavy Trooper’s Sentry abilities and Darth Vader is having his damage reduction reduced from 75% down to 20%.

The update is currently scheduled to go live at our usual deployment times of 09:00 UTC (PC), 10:00 UTC (PS4) and 11:00 UTC (Xbox One).

  • Fixed an issue where the boarding cinematic would be visible when completing the final objective on any of the Capital Ships on Jakku.
  • Fixed an issue that would allow the First Order Jet Trooper to dash more than 2 times.
  • Fixed an issue where spamming both the main fire and secondary fire keys for BB-8 would drain the stamina quickly, without dealing the appropriate amount of damage
  • Fixed an issue where BB-8’s Spinner Star Card would grant 20 seconds of cooldown reduction, instead of 10, on Epic rarity.
  • Fixed an issue where there would be no audio playing when inspecting the BB-8 and BB-9E Voice Lines in the Front End menu.
  • Fixed an issue where BB-8 and BB-9E would eventually play the wrong VO lines when they were disrupted.
  • Various collision, VFX and lighting improvements on the MC85 Star Cruiser and Resurgent-class Star Destroyer.

  • Updated the mode description for Ewok Hunt.

  • will cinematics play at beginning of Supremacy match and when the resistance boards the resurgent star destroyer or when the first order boards the MC-85
  • When are you adding vehicles to Takodana and Jakku? You know, just like when you added them in to Galactic Assault.
  • I sure hope the hit detection fix is actually a fix. There's been problems with that and with abilities even triggering when you press their commands. Seems like the game lags not just on your end, but the inputs lag too even though we're right in front of our screens. And I still see nothing about aim drift. I'm tired of zooming in and having my aim switch to something completely different than my original target.

    So are bb8 and bb9e supposed to do more damage and drain more stamina when holding main and secondary fire?
  • Can you please explain what is meant by the changes to the heavy sentry? I didn't understand the original release notes and I don't get the notes above when you say reduce the costs of spool up. Are we getting a longer overall firing duration again for the sentry, as it drastically reduced last week?

    In this case I agree with the reduction of the damage reduction to 20% now he can block so is fine.

    The way I've read that is that Ben disagreed with reduction being no less than 50%...and the notes say it's being reduced to 20%...so he followed through with what he said.

  • great job everyone i agree if the 20% dose not work for vader my suggestion is remove it completely and maybe undo the Nerf to Anakin star card for passion strike and improve his stamina get him on par with kylo and obi wan an maybe reduce the spam swing.

    We've begun rolling out the patch to the platforms, PC up first and was deployed 18 minutes ago. As a reminder, finding a match may be affected during the following times for their respective platforms.

    Ben, could we ever see a wider selection of maps for Co-Op?

    The cycle of 4 maps per era can get a bit tiresome after a while! Could do with either a freshen up of maps OR a larger selection of heroes.

    For example, Only 2 lightsaber heroes available for Sequel Trilogy Co-Op just feels a bit disappointing.

    Around about now, the patch is being rolled out onto PlayStation 4. As always, let us know if you're experiencing any issues or the fixes weren't deployed correctly!

  • Just downloaded the latest update and now as soon as I play it crashes.
    I end up on my home screen. I’m on pc with nvidia GeForce 960 card.

  • Please balance first order and resistance, when playing with first order is way easier to win that resistance, in general. When playing capital supremacy the extra time you add on boarding are making the assault on the enemy ship too easy for the team attacking to win the match, it was great before this addition of extra time, now it makes the matches not as interesting as before. Please do something to balance that, thanks.

  • Can y'all look into matchmaking? seems bugged atm especially CS. Have yet to find an actual game of CS in Aus, even at peak.

    Quick play/CO-OP quick play also seems a bit broken, for example I can search CO-OP (any) and not find a match, but I can search quick and immediately find a co-op match. Tested it a few times (backed out/cancelled and gone into the other mode....annnnnnd got nothing)

    Something is wrong, I could always find a match pre-BB patch
  • Were there any changes to the AI Arials (resistance in particular) in this patch? I have played a few games of Co-op and they are insane again. One game I was taken out by a rocket fired by an aerial whizzing through the air about 100 yards away within 15 seconds of the game starting (while I was still making my way to the objectives and hadn't even seen anyone else) . And they also hit headshots with their rifles milliseconds after jetpacking right across my FOV. They need toning down badly IMO.

    My dudes and I really like to play long couch sessions on the console, more than random online matches.

    This is the first one I stumble upon, but I must admit it isn't an issue which would be prioritized by me, so it may have passed unnoticed because as a single person I really can't put up with the speed in which BUGs are reported in AHQ. Many skip my attention.

    And although I'm not an english native speaker, my games are always in english, exactly to avoid any translation issues.

    Well, they'll still exist.
    But visit the Rogue Bros Channel, there we document many BUGs and possible workarounds for them. There's also gameplay and other videos related to EA's Star Wars Battlefront (I & II)

  • I would expect Anakin "Massive Strike" card nerf cancelled : this modification is a big error !!!
    Would be great to remove BB8 and BB9 from HvV : they make this mod insupportable, running everywhere and uncatchable!!

  • There's an amusing bug in Co-op that, when you WIN the match and the "Victory" animation comes up - the blue "Victory!" text turns into the red "Defeat!" text for a split second, and it starts playing the defeat music.

    Not really a major bug or anything that should take priority, but it happens surprisingly often.

    Team is aware of one or two issues with todays patch, notably, the issue of Darth Vader receiving a Damage Reduction increase than what was stated. We've locked in a fix and at this moment in time, it's scheduled to deploy in the Feb update. We'll let you know if this changes!

  • You did it you broke Darth Vader you *******!

    We called for his damage to be nerf not his over all survivability his lightsaber needs to be nerf from doing 100 of damage while force choking to 20 percent not his damage reduction while he's choking making him a easy picking to Classes on Hoth Endor and other maps
  • Like I said before Vader got the wrong nerf I'm not using Darth Vader Again until it's corrected he stays at level 8.

    If 70 percent of your games population started only playing classes Assault Heavy Sniper and Officer would you nerf them too for being too popular then screw yourselfs in the process because everyone is forced to use classes to earn battlepoints to use reinforcements or Heros what if everyone used an Anakin Obi Wan Count Dooku and Sideous?

    You'd jump to nerf them in a heartbeat because you want players to play as all heros and characters not the one's they love from the movies or animated series like Rebels Clone Wars and such
