  • I'm so happy that we get AI bot count on consoles, AI vehicles and friendly AI heroes. The next update should bring cross era heroes for instant action and co-op since the original trilogy will have supremacy along with the original heroes. I'm still hoping for split screen because many people request it and it's a feature that can allow the player to play with friends on couch and have fun at home during the holidays.

  • anyone else think with them bringing in the smaller jabbas palace and kessel (depending if they come to instant action) we could maybe be getting Galactic conquest? sure it's a long shot but to bring in the smaller map just makes me think especially the hangers.

    I am the same user as Elimelech401, that account was not tied to the game. I am hoping for more Skirmish with split screen and hero AI.

    DICE's new "Instant Action" features:
    (1.) Friendly A.I. Heroes or Villains to fight along side you.
    (2.) Friendly A.I. Vehicles to fight along side you and enemy A.I. vehicles to fight against you on the following maps:
    a.) Ajan Kloss
    b.) Felucia
    c.) Geonosis
    d.) Kashyyyk
    e.) Naboo
    (3.) The ability to spawn on fellow A.I. Squad-mates and them on you.

    (4.) DICE "Instant Action" menu options:
    1.) Enemy Hero Count (slider)
    2.) Friendly Hero Count (slider)
    3.) Enemy Reinforcement Count (slider)
    4.) Friendly Reinforcement Count (slider)
    5.) Enemy Vehicle Count (slider)
    6.) Friendly Vehicle Count (slider).
    Warning "-performance can be impacted if an user selects a high count for AI."

    (5.) DICE is giving us new additional weapons for Trooper Classes:
    1.) E-11D for Assault Troopers
    2.) T-21 for Heavy Troopers
    3.) DL-18 for Officers
    4.) Cycler Rifle for Specialists
    "-are now able to be unlocked through Milestones."

    (6.) DICE is giving us new updated default appearances for:
    1.) Imperial Rocket Trooper
    2.) Rebel Rocket Jumper
    3.) Wookiee Warrior
    "-Legacy appearances are available as unlocked alternatives."

    (7.) DICE hero visual info:
    "Added visual information to show that certain Hero abilities can be cancelled (Han Solo's Sharpshooter, Bossk's Predator Instincts, Leia Organa's Rapid Fire and Chewbacca's Furious Bowcaster)."



    DICE hero changes:
    (1.) Iden Versio
    a.) Blaster Weapon now has Dual zoom
    b.) Pulse Cannon can now fire while aiming from the hip, as well as fire at any time during the charge up. Even if the shot does need to be fully charged, a charged shot does a lot more damage.


    (2.) Bossk's Blaster Weapon now has Dual zoom

    (3.) Finn's Blaster Weapon now has Dual zoom

    (4.) Kylo - The last hit of Kylo Ren's Frenzy ability will now apply damage, even if a Lightsaber enemy is blocking.

    (5.) Bobba Fett
    a.) Concussion rocket to integrate the BLASTER DISABLER functionality. The ability now disables blasters for 1.2 seconds when concussed.
    b.) Star Card changes:
    BLASTER DISABLER changed to AUGMENTED GEAR
    Description: If CONCUSSION ROCKET hits more enemies, Boba Fett’s jetpack regenerates more fuel.

    (6.) Leia Organa

    Abilities
    * Flash grenade is replaced by Thermal detonators: Leia can throw, up to three, thermal detonators that will explode after 0,85 seconds. This ability enters cooldown when all three detonators have been thrown.
    * Leia's Squad shield is now Healing 5 health every second.

    Star Card Blinded
    * BLINDED changed to FEARLESS
    * Description: The blast radius of THERMAL DETONATORS is increased.
    * Effect: INCREASED BLAST RADIUS

    Star Card Blinded Reveal
    * Star card BLINDING REVEAL changed to HANDY DEVICE
    * Description: The cooldown of THERMAL DETONATORS is reduced.
    * Effect: REDUCED COOLDOWN

    Leia's Weapon tweaks
    * Buffed E-11 start damage from 32 to 36.
    * Buffed E-11 end damage from 17 to 19.
    * Buffed E-11 the start distance for Damage fall off from 5 to 20.
    * Buffed E-11 the end distance for Damage fall off from 10 to 40.
    * Reduced E-11 Recoil, making it not pop up as bad
    * Reduced E-11 blaster shots spread, making it more accurate

    Milestones
    * BLINDING FLASH GRENADE changed to PLENTY OF EXPLOSIONS.
    * Description: Defeat 30 enemies with Leia's Thermal detonators.

    (7.) BB-8 AND BB-9E
    Buff: Increased the support ability score reward for the BB units from 2 to 4.

    (8.) Chewbacca
    Chewbacca’s Bowcaster
    a.) When not scoped: The three bolts are clustered in a triangle, instead of a horizontal line.
    b.)When scoped: One powerful shot that allows Chewbacca to be more efficient at long distance, instead of the three horizontal shots clustering.
    c.) When using furious bowcaster while not scoped: 5 bolts, in a larger circle
    d.) When using furious bowcaster while scoped: 5 bolts, in a cross, tighter than not scoped.


    And that's hit for now...I guess we will get new OT maps in March...fingers crossed. 🤞

    Over all a huge step in the right direction...🙂👍🏼

    Well hopefully the A.I. in "Instant Action" will be able to select from any on the long list of Original Trilogy characters. I want to play along side Han, Chewy and Londo, that would be epic. 🤗

    It was a great blast. It's much more intense than playing with randoms imo, especially when playing with a bot-killing-machine like you.

    Wait was Maul around in the Original Trilogy era? I thought Obi Wan slew him in the desert in Star Wars Rebels? That would have been likely between episodes III and IV when the Rebellion was just getting going. About 15 years after "Solo: A Star Wars Story" I figure.

    Alright, DICE. :) Overall, you guys released a solid update and I am loving it!

    However, here are a few bugs I've noticed while playing so far:

    1. I can't spawn as a droid speeder on naboo. They are no longer a selectable option in Instant Action, but the AI are able to spawn as speeders.
    2. When I spawn as a clone tank, the playable clone tank is now tan colored, but the AI clone tank is blue and grey.
    3. The AI movement is bugged on phase 1 of Kessel in co-op. They just keep stepping side to side like they are having a seizure. lol
    4. AI vehicles are not spawning at all, for either side, in co-op.
    5. The rebel soldiers only spawn with their default human heads.
    6. The tank and speeder AI is EXCELLENT... but the walker AI is hilarious. I played with it on Ajan Kloss and it's just walking around looking up at the trees and the sky like it's amazed at how beautiful this games graphics are. It's not really fighting at all.

    EDIT: The above walker AI bug was only noticed on my PC copy of the game. I just played the same map on the Xbox One X and the walker AI is near perfect there.

    Yes bot amounts can now be adjusted but It's now 14 v 14 maxed out, so an ever so slight increase.

    I would consider everything after rots to be OT era. Ewan is going to be playing old obi-wan in the tv show, so just give the current obi-wan grey hair.

    quick tip for IA, set friendly/enemy ai to 4 and hero ai to 4 for hvv style ia

    I got this weird feeling, so I went with my gut instincts. Therefore I did a cold boot (unplugging my X-Box One from the wall) and that worked...I booted up and there it was. Downloading now. 🤗 It could have been caused by a system spike.

    I'd be curious to know this as well. I usually play on PC, but last I played on Xbox One I was bored to tears by how slow the combat was. That said, I just played again on the Xbox One X and it feels much better now. I am not sure if that's due to the additional bot count or the presence of vehicles. It's still not as intense as the PC version but I feel I can actually enjoy a match of console instant action now.
  • Had somebody look at the PC files. Any Reinforcement or Hero AI that you set will count as part of the 14 allotted team players you can have. So if you set friendly Heroes to 2 and friendly Reinforcements to 4, you'll have 8 slots left that will play as Troopers. Vehicle AI is completely independent of trooper count and you can have up to 2 per side.

    So essentially, you can play 16v16 on consoles now. What a great update!

    Yeah, I believe that's the PC option that accidentally got included in console. It'll most likely be changed next patch/update.

    I'm annihilated this update is incredible. I fought a tank, 4 villains, 3 Destroyers, 4 Supers, lions and tigers and bears oh my. This thing pulls out all the stops. 14 vs 14 or you can go down to 0 vs 0 and your in explore mode or 3+ you on 4 HvsV mode Supremacy style.

    Sure it had one tiny glitch where Anakin got stuck near a cliff spawning in but no biggie, he respawned in (a suggestion I gave the devs for just such an occurrence).

    Over all I'm very impressed and pleased. This is amazing. 👍🏼👍🏼

  • hopefully they will increase the ai to atleast 16 or 18 in the future. but tanks and friendly heroes definitely improved the mode. feels more complete and still great with 14 v 14

    That is pretty cool with the hero friendly AI. Also cool 14v14 is the new high on consoles for AI count.

    AI vehicles are only in Instant Action at the moment. When you look out for the Capital Ships, they are Kamino and Geonosis maps.
  • We need Crait and Starkiller Base in Instant Action along with All Capital Ship maps in Instant Action as well.

    AI in Instant Action for AT-ST for example, constantly looks up in the sky and does not try to find targets.This was on Ajan Kloss PC version.

    Felucia in particular feels really action-packed on console. Barely got a moment to myself 😂

    AI vehicles are so fun to fight. Having all this extra customisation is just great.

    14v14 feels great to me. I didn't mind experiencing some stuttering on Felucia every now and then, it's worth it to me.

    New weapons are also really fun to use.

    Surprised to also see 2 Tatooine maps for Co-op too! Agreed that Jabbas Palace as the Empire is basically a control the choke-point match. But I'm not sure I mind that too much, true you don't get to see more the map, but then again you're defending, so ideally if you're doing well you shouldn't be letting the enemy push you back anyway. I feel one map like that can add some fun variety. But I do understand the aversion some will have to it too.

    The Mos Eisley map is definitely my preferred of the two! Never much liked the Palace even in Arcade.

    Does anyone know if Mos Eisley Co-op has a daytime variant too? I only played it once and it was at night. Daytime always looks so much more....resplendent 😁
