Does anyone find this game easy?

It's really been hard work for me since the start. It's like i have to put all my energy into playing it to the point i get a headache, just to simply break even. The only time i play half decent is when i've got a hero due to all the extra health. How does matchmaking work? It would be nice for a bit of randomness, win a few lose a few instead of feeling like a huge uphill grind, every single game. For me it's the slow kill times, said that so many times but i'll get behind 3 guys, and in any other game i'd be rubbing my hands together knowing i'll quite easily take out all three with my primary weapon, yet in this i'll shoot one, he'll roll around the floor making it difficult then, bang, dead, cos while i'm taking so long to kill the one guy, one of the other two has turned around and killed me. Doesn't seem to get any easier either the more i play it. Just end up annoyed with a headache until I force myself to switch it off. If anyone else finds it easy, let me know. I'm not asking for it to be a walk in the park, just be nice to have a few games where you totally destroy the enemy team, without having to get a hero or enforcer.
Anyone who claims to find it easy overall, if you have any videos of you playing i'd like to watch and see if i can pick up any tips. I can really excel in Battlefield 1, i was expecting it to be a similar feel when i got this but it's nothing like it at all.
EDIT: I'm referring to Galactic Assault mainly. Blast just feels like straight forward TDM.

I'm playing on console (PS4). That adds to my struggle because as the game is heavily focussed on headshots, it's difficult to get them with a controller. I mainly use the A280, i'm trying to unlock the improved range attachment and i play heavy with the FWMB. Occasionally play specialist and officer, but majority of the time it's the other 2.
Cheers.
Ya the headshot thing with the controllers takes time to adjust and get into muscle memory. I play on Xbox unfortunately or I would play with ya and help ya. So you don’t have to wait on my videos, I recommend some decent players. Battlefrontupdates and Quin knight on YouTube. Sacriel on Twitch.
I’ll work on a video that focuses on your main classes and weapons.
Cheers, an i'll check them guys on YT.

Totally get what you're saying and a lot of times when i've been trying to unlock an attachment for a gun I don't like, when i switch back to a gun i'm used to i'll play a lot better with it. Then i'll feel like i'm back at square one. I'm a typical rager as well, this game is designed so you have to make every shot count, plus the headshots on top of that. I get tense when i'm in a 1 v 1 gunfight and sometimes that affects my aim, and because it takes so long to put anyone down that's another thing i find difficult. On other games when i lose it a bit, i'll pull it back and compose myself again but because there's so little room for error in this game i find you literally can't play it unless you're incredibly calm and focussed, which is quite a hard way to be, when you really get into it and it gets you fired up.
Watch some YouTube vids like the other person said, and it will help you understand how you have to play to get kills. Mostly just don’t give up, don’t get aggravated, and keep playing and experimenting and you’ll get the hang of it!
What class do you mainly use?
I can upload a video later of me getting 1st on blast
It is one of my better games, got 31 kills and 4000 points more than anyone else
I too play PS4
It really is muscle memory
I'll upload it in a few hours

Best tip I could give you is to pick a class/weapon you like, and stick with that weapon/class. There is no substitute for muscle memory... it takes 6000-8000 reps of a motion done correctly to develop muscle memory... if you are changing variables during your practice (new guns with different characteristics or classes) you are making your muscle memory learning process harder.
Another helpful tip is that you need to learn the best flanking routes on all the maps... this will yield tons of easy kills which will make you happier playing as you will be getting higher scores with ease.
Finally, here is a little video of me running around and discussing the Heavy class. I have other videos, but this is a good overview of how I play.

Cheers, glad i'm not alone.
Usually assault and occasionally heavy.
Thanks. Not sure how many hours i've put into the game, where can i find this info? I'll check the video out, cheers.
It will show in Origin how many hours the game has been "open", but if you leave it open in menu screen that number won't be very accurate. Again, I think it is mostly a matter of repetition and not constantly switching variables. Many people will play an hour or 2 a day, and they will play various classes and use different weapon setups etc. This is fine, but it is unlikely to lead to mastery of the game as you are constantly changing the gameplay conditions. I am currently north of 100 hours played, and all of this time was spent pretty much with a heavy with a tl50 blaster, or with a select few heroes. So, if I have a assault, or I was forced to play as han solo... I am not great... but if I can play as my preferred class/hero, I will get 1st most maps.

Some quality tips in there, cheers. I like the crouch with shield tip. I think that might be a big problem on my part, the fact i'm always switching classes all the time. I never stick with one because i want to get familiar with them all, like in Battlefield. I think it's a wise idea though to stick with one gun and one class i'm comfortable with and just keep using it until i get better at the game, then probably test out some other classes when i get bored of it, instead of just swapping after every few deaths.
Yeah, i had WW2 and sold it. I've never liked the speed of CoD, you don't have time to react, it's more a game of hide and seek, whoever sees whoever else first pretty much gets the kill. I still did alright on it though, i found it easier than this. I find BF1 is the ideal pace for me, it's not too fast or too slow, you have chance to get away from death but only a small chance. I do think this is too slow and that's why i'm having a hard time with it. Like i said in my original post, it's just really irritating putting all that fire down on someone only to either die first or get an assist. Assist, assist, assist, it's too much. Headshots are fine with a mouse, it's too much for casual gamers to constantly go for headshots with a controller imo. Had some good info so far though i'm gonna put to use. I don't think the pace of the game will change now, seen too many mixed opinions on it, i guess it's just a case of accepting that's how it is and trying to adapt to it. Hopefully the grind will carry the additional skill over into other games.
On the rare occasion that has happened i can say i find it more than irritating.
I didn't say that, i said it's a rare occasion that happens. For every 10 assists i'd say i steal 1 kill.
Shooters come easy to me and it takes several hours to gain the intuition / hand dexterity needed to succeed.
Here is proof showing how SBMM exists and how it's in ALL of our new games online. https://www.reddit.com/r/modernwarfare/comments/e6ybmj/the_design_proof_of_sbmm_and_how_its_even_worse/
How does the matchmaking work in this? Or does nobody no? If it's skill based i might as well give up now. Hate that.
I think it is card based aka loot based, mixed with heavy connection base. Connection first and then closest card match for at least A FEW players in the lobby.

Should just be totally random.
Battlefront 2015 is fine, it was just very limited. This is different completely. And s-l-o-o-o-o-o-w.

Yeah I got some tips if you dont mind me being a couple years late 👴
My first game of GA (2017) was on Naboo and I was absolutely TERRIBLE! I died some 30-40 times and only eliminated 5-6 people, but I played the objective nonetheless. Playing the objective is the key to getting better at GA, as you will not get better unless you are willing to put yourself in harms way.
It took me about a month of playing Blast (GA Basic Training) to improve, and this was all hastened by my switching from the default first-person perspective to the far superior third-person perspective.
Blast is the best way to get accustomed to this game, & the stepping stone to being good at GA. I suggest playing the new Multiplayer Operations Co-Op mode IF you are lacking in Star Card levels. The AI is laughable, but it will help you level up tons. Yep, I caved and played 3 games (beat the objectives way too fast!) in order to get the new Luke skin.
As many people suggest, find the Class and Star Card/Weapon build that suits you the best. Also, be sure to switch up your Classes and Star Card/Weapon builds when game flow dictates such things, as all of the Classes & their various Star Card/Weapon builds hold different advantages/values during certain points in the game.
This helps in upping your skill, and also, rewarding you with invaluable BPs to get your preferred H&V at a much quicker rate. Yep, situational awareness is key!
I'd also familiarize yourself with the various Starfighters & Vehicles, as these can be real game changers on many of the maps.
Keep your wits about you, and for the most part do not stop moving around! Switch up your stances, take cover, keep checking your HUD, learn the lay of the land on maps, support your team, know when to fight or flee, jump at times to throw off your opponents, jump on top of objects to throw off H&V, master the dodge roll (standard roll/sideways roll), and play the objective!
Anyway this is a bud of mine on a typical day with a jumptrooper on ps4. This is literally almost any game heroes or not. He doesn’t play much but anyway I’m a loooooooot better that he is and he’s better that most I’ve played on ps4. Title is only for clickbait and meaningless btw, enjoy.
This is ps4, but on pc the meta is jump troopers more times than not. If you have decant aim and map awareness you’ll do well.
Officer is the most forgiving imo, the overall kit is hard to beat.
Assault is another great class with cards like scan dart, toughen up, and several decent blasters to choose from
Personally only run heavy for taking down vehicles but I’ve see many players do well with them.
Specialist, this is my main. If you can aim the cfe destroys entire lobbies. I run marksman, shield, and hardened infiltration. Again, if you can aim with the cfe, have a little map awareness, this class has the highest skill ceiling imo with the greatest reward.
Another reason other than heroes this game plays different is the slow ttk for one, then there’s a huge amount of wall-hacks happening all at one time so everyone knows where everyone is. Also remember many/most players are very map/hero dependent, it’s a huge advantage knowing the maps. Most of time doing/playing well at this game can be learned without needing any sort of elite skill.
Assault: If you are playing like Blast or say the final phase of Naboo, Endor, Kamino then use the CR-2. It will shred in close quarters. For those medium range engagements which most maps have use the A280C. If you are on the first round of Crait or 2nd round of Geonosis ELHFE is a good bet but A280 is decent as well (Pro tip. On crait just take your CR2 into the tunnels and melt all the kids who have long range weapons on) For Cards I use Bounty Hunter, Improved Thermal Detonator, and Toughen up.
Heavy: This is the class I play the least FYI. So for Heavy I like to rock the DC-15LE because it's exploding shot is very effective but the TL-50 is probalay the better choice. Personal Preference there but until you unlock the TL-50 use the DC-15LE. Cards: Health Regen Card, Improved Shield, and Improved Grenade.
Officer: Easily my best class. For Officer I like to switch between the SE-44C and the default blaster. The SE is better in close range but the default blaster can pick people off and yet still be effective in close quarters. The Blurgg got nerfed into the ground and the S-5 is too situational. For cards I like to rock Improved Officer Command (Pick one that you like), Bounty Hunter, and Either improved flash grenade or improved turret.
Specialist: I am decent with this class. For Specialist I switch between all 3 unlockable guns. I main the NT-242 blaster but sometimes when that recoil is too much (The NT kicks like a freaking horse) I switch to the IQA. If i am feeling aggressive I use the A280-CFE with 3 round burst. My cards are usually, Bounty Hunter, Shield and Improved Grenade.
Been playing since launch so I know the ins and outs. Hope this helps.
