Who is bored who isn't?

  • I only play about once or twice a week now, down from every day. Never cared for strike, and I don't like air combat in this game at all, so that only leaves me GA, HvV and blast.

In GA, always fighting on the same map twice slows it down for me. No trooper customization is also making it less fun.

In HvV I really just don't like being heroes. Doesn't have anything to do with how good they are, and I love all the OT characters as characters, I just find them boring to play as. Villains are much more fun and unique in playstyle.

Blast is ok, but I only play 3 rounds or so before getting bored of not having a true objective to strive for.

There is a definite element of fun that has been stripped away in the search for a more layered shooter that some people clamoured for

Lack of modes is obviously one. As ridiculous as it was, you could spend a whole afternoon jumpacking around, flexing and doing the robot to each other on hero hunt. Also having all the varied modes gave you enough options to keep you interested even if you didn't generally play them, people like choice. WA and supremacy offered something very different, while hvv was the icing on the cake. All very varied, very engaging.

The choke point issue is obviously also prevalent here but I won't be too harsh on it as it can be fun, and generally there are enough flank paths. Combine that though with a constant reminder of your/the enemy tickets rapidly depleting and there is an often niggling urge to press because the game may soon end, this isn't fun but will be helped with balance changes

Customisation is obviously a huge one. I couldn't wait to unlock certain skins in 2015 and would spend a good amount of time making a choice between a quarren and a twilek

Also the one thing that they absolutely nailed in the last game and which are just awful here are emotes, they were hilarious, often off key and strange (female stormtrooper scream) and generally brought me great joy. Hero emotes aside as they are generally great (if locked, and often inaudible)

There is a lot I enjoy about this game but there is a little sprinkling of magic that hasn't carried over, hopefully this game finds its own. A sullustan skin with multiple usable emotes will help

Despite its faults I played BF2015 regularly (mostly HvV and Cargo) and it never really got ‘old.’

With this one I feel like I’m drifting away from it more than I did with the first and I can’t exactly put my finger on why.

    I’m exactly the same

Played bf15 pretty much every day for 2 years

Stopped playing this version last week, moved onto fortnite now with my son

    Lol yeah

Or alternatively killing someone in a gunfight who had got the drop on you and emoting an ironic 'bang' (female stormtrooper emotes were my thing)

    I miss them man

I need my Cargo. Every match felt fresh with the real time back and forth. Blast is getting old and GA/Strike are meh to me.

  • I've heard that only boring people get bored. If I ever get tired playing a game I just play another.

I think for me, Supremacy was very much fun. It was a battle of pushing up and retreating, and anything could happen. I had some of my best matches due to getting pushed back, having a hero push up and support, and The span of trying to take the last point. Cargo was fun because it was a simple game mode, but more competitive. The problem with this is that either it is a steamroll, or you already know what is going to happen. It is the same thing over and over again, and that eventually gets dull. That is what is wrong with it imo.

Same. I also miss Hero Hunt...

Hero hunt was cancer in BF2015K. Palp always camped and spammed health, Bossk was simply broken, Leia hid in her shield and spammed health pick ups.

  • I entered Battlefront 2 with 8 people willing to play. Now in fact only me left, everyone got bored (glitches, lack of any balance, bad mode design, boredom). Worth mentioning is that most of these people stayed with Battlefront 2015 till the end. Many of them played BF2015 when I started Battlefront 2 with early access. So yeah, definitely something wrong with the game.
  • This game is great. Still really enjoying it. Just upgraded to the X and man it's awesome. The future is bright with this game for me because I have about 3 1/2 days of gameplay and we aren't even at season 2 yet.
  • I wouldn't say I'm bored with it as I'm still having fun. That said, I have noticed that I don't have the patience for certain maps and just back out and try again. I used to play through them all but some are just tedious now.

I also seem to be experiencing a lot more bugs than I remember.

Should be more fun in this game with heroes being weaker. More people will get a chance to be the hero too IMO. I never really used anybody but Boba or Nien in the last game and did just fine on most maps tho.

Agreed, now that the heroes are much easier to deal with hero hunt would be much more fun

Same for original HvV, can’t believe they changed it in this version, it was so much better in bf15, and with weaker heroes this time round could have been even better

This version of HvV is awful

I'm pretty burned out. I still play, just try different load outs and play styles. My favorite Hero is under powered so that's disappointing (Yoda). My favorite class is garbage (Specialist). The balance and bugs present in this triple A game and the fact many of them remained unfixed is laughable. Kickstarter 1m dollar budget games turn out better than this.

I'm bored of grinding and the game modes. Tired of waiting in queues, hate not having dedicated servers, poor match making, and hate that this game isn't very team oriented.

The really only reasons I am still here is to burn time until Feb 13th, and I like Star Wars, and I love to troll EA apologetics on just how bad this game is.

I'm considering going back to Battlefield 1 in the mean time but meh I dunno. I have the season pass and haven't played the DLC after They Shall Not Pass.
