  • Nice, please keep it up with this kind of news heads-up. Looking forward to the patch and the whole changelog. Not expecting any content additions in this patch per say, just sweet balance changes.

Pretty please list ALL of the changes in the patch notes. It's really annoying when something feels different and you have to figure out on your own what that something is.
Cimpletely agree! No 'stealth' changes, please. If remembered.
  • Our team has been working very hard on the next patch for Star Wars Battlefront II. While the patch is currently in testing and headed for certification, we do not have an ETA for its release. You will know when the patch will arrive as we will publish downtime for the update ahead of its release in the Game Updates section of the forum.

But what is patch 1.2 going to fix and bring to the table?
    • Our limited time Jetpack Cargo mode arrives
    • Arcade Updates (AI updates and more)
    • Heroes & Villains Balancing (Boba Fett, Palpatine, Iden, Rey, Bossk, Kylo Ren, Luke, Chewbacca, Yoda, Lando, Darth Vader & Captain Phasma all see either, nerfs, buffs and tweaks)
    • Classes, Reinforcements & Core Combat (Dodge updates, emotes, weapon tweaks, SCS un-nerf, and more)
    • Milestones (Updates)
    • Level Design Balance Changes
    • Level Design Bug Fixes
    • General Improvements and Bug Fixes ( Duplicate SC credits, Blaster glow, lightsaber glow, color-blind settings tweak, performance and stability changes, and more)
    • and more...

I want to highlight that while some key Known Issues will be addressed in this update, a lot of them will not, the team is very much working to address them, and we hope to bring that list to zero items in the near future.

Full detailed patch notes will be revealed upon the release of update 1.2, and we look forward to discussing the changes in more detail at that time.

    coming soon....

  • Any word on when you will be fixing the issue with Lando's single player mission? Cannot even play the DLC single player, let alone finish the campaign that shipped with the game. :'(

    Anyway

This is actually really cool! It's great to see DICE communicating Clearer and more often with the Player-Base

It's really nice to hear concrete and exciting information about a Patch in one place then scouring Twitter for information

  • Everything about these patch notes shows that EA/DICE released an unfinished game.

    everything always is unfinished
the patch will be unfinished when it is released
resources wasted by nerfing then un-nerfing Scs, Boba, ect
resources wasted by buffing then nerfing the senate
need we say more after that??

Rather than working on balancing star cards, which needed a lot of work due to gamble crates containing so many different tiers and so many cards, they could have spent their resources balancing maps, and other things.
  • I really hope Boba's EE-3 shoots further.
CAN IT! WHEN GOD GIVES YOU LEMONS YOU FIND A NEW GOD! B)
  • So no conquest or stats yet? K I'll continue to stick to Battlefield...
  • Two weeks for a patch to be certified seems to be a long time, but what if . . .

    1) Dice finishes patch and submits to EA for QA testing.
    2) Patch tested for QA on all 3 platforms (MS Windows, Sony PS, MS XBOX).
    3) Each platform finishes QA testing and submits information to EA for approval.
    4) EA goes through each platform's QA testing results and reviews information.
    5) EA completes and confirms approval process for all three platforms.
    6) EA sends confirmation to Dice to implement patch.
    7) Dice schedules date and time to install said patch.
    8) Dice announces date and time of patch.
    9) Patch installed.

I'm only guessing. I am in no way saying the above is true but if I'm anywhere near the ballpark then it makes sense why it would take two weeks to get a patch certified.

  • Can we get back dual seat vehicles (speeder bike) and the Starkiller Base and Mos Eisley landspeeders?
I also want lightsaber clashes like in the previous game and chain attacks like in the trailers (the gameplay trailer and the launch trailer)
  • How about the error code 672 that happens since launch all the time?
  • [*] General Improvements and Bug Fixes ( Duplicate SC credits, ......

    Yes! PLEASE!

  • So Han, Leia and Darth Maul are not getting changed....I bet they feel left out!
I thought Maul might get stamina since he has a card for reducing it but doesn't have it.

Here’s the thing. QA also involves testing the new build. So the longer it takes, the more chances of finding any issues and hotfixing them before deployment, and the less likely the patch will break the balance or the game itself.

  • What about new arcade maps? I heard all multiplayer maps would be in arcade in this patch. Also does this include Crait?
  • I'm really excited to see what this patch holds. Thanks for telling us about something before it's official released Sledge. It was a very nice wakeup gift.
  • 1.3 - extraction, conquest, battle royal (Ewok's too)?
  • Thank goodness for the SCS buff
I have the somewhat highish ground
  • Thank goodness for the SCS buff

Meh. They could completely remove Sentry from the game and it wouldn't bother me one bit.

They could have fixed the game bugs that have been in the game since launch..
But seems like they are spending their time doing and un-doing their mistakes.

  • I hope palpatine gets buffed!

Just don't get it. Been a whole month with nothing. And people praise them when they release something but say well we don't know when it's going live. Just wait another month and fix everything that is wrong!! I'd rather see that then something that isn't been addressed. Already bad enough most people paid $60-$80 for a glorified beta.

Cry me a river kid. Did you have something productive to add? Or are you just here to whine?

Wait, but if bullet point number 4 happens too often wouldn’t it make a player not want to play the game as much anymore? They would have to learn and adapt over and over again.

here is to hoping the Officer class gets nerfed significantly, i'm sick and tired of coming face to face with and officer and i manage to hit him point blank with the 242 and he wins the engagement

If you wanna point out issues I think you hit on a big one w/o even trying. You're complaining about going head to head in cqc with an officer and losing yet it's ok for you to be able to run and gun with a powerful long range weapon like it was a shotgun because of third person in this game. Fully believe specialists should be first person only to alleviate this issue. So don't complain about someone taking advantage of what they can use till you look at what your doing yourself.

I get your frustration. Really, I totally do.

Respectfully though, even though someone says, "Thank you" for the work they are doing to improve the game, this doesn't mean that they don't have complaints about certain things or the way things have been handled in the past.

Keep in mind that the developers are mostly just coders and analysts who are here to do their jobs. They aren't necessarily the ones who made the go/no-go decision when the game was released, or the decision to include loot-crates, or the decision to set the price for tier 4 cards at 480 crafting parts, or even to have crafting parts instead of credits in the first place.

They simply do the best job they can do given the circumstances, and I for one am grateful for their efforts. They're going to accept responsibility for everything, primarily because it's their job to do so. However, the hard truth is that there are many things that are out of their control, and the players aren't always going to get what they want.

I don't blame you or anyone else for having complaints, and I've had many similar complaints myself. However, it costs nothing to tell someone, "Thank you" and not only is it the right thing to do, but it also makes it more likely that when you do complain, they will actually listen to you.

You will catch more flies with honey than with vinegar.

Well thank you! I appreciate the fact you can have a response in a respectful manor. Don't get me wrong. I do appreciate what the devs do for a living. I am a technician myself, but if I went a month without fixing at least something I wouldn't have a job. I know it's different in the game world I get it.

As an example Palpy has been shooting through walls for a long while. It could have been hot fixed. While the other issues that take more time to fix would be release in a full blown patch. Server maintenance once a week or every two weeks just to keep it running smooth wouldn't hurt. Heck I would even pay $10 a month to ensure this or that cheaters would be delt with when they are reported.

Anyway again thank you for being respectful.

And to sledgehammer70. Thanks for sharing the info you can.

Please adjust / nerf Officer. Blast and Ga is nothing but officers these days. Change is good, so let’s adjust that blurrg and HP and change this mess.

I play as an officer from time to time Blurrg isn't the better of the pistols these days but still a good options. What does need a nerf i think for this class is Officers presence the battle points it gives out just from scratching my **** on a map is way too much. I use the se44 and that is way better with the faster rate of fire and recoil upgrade.

  • This is much better communication. Thanks sledgehammer.
  • Is it possible we could get a look at vehicles as well? Siege mode on the AAT is extremely weak right now.

Agreed!!! The AT-AT is even worse, its completely pathetic with no field of fire no accuracy and no damage. Previously it at least had health now doesn't even have that. The only useful ability is the orbital strike and it doesn't work half the time and now u even cant use it at range only point blank in a narrow area . :( And one of the walkers always dies now on Hoth dooming the attackers.
