Exactly. He wanted to send off Luke and leia the right way but still give plenty of spotlight for the new characters. It seems like he could’ve done things the right way.

This is the most disappointing news about SW I’ve heard in a long while.

I want to see Episode 9 out of the hope we see something good out of the Era but If they say one more thing they can F O R G E T I T

I would much rather spend money on watching Godzilla 2 several times in 2019 then see Episode 9 at this rate

And then we have King Kong vs. Godzilla in 2020. Good time to be a Kaiju nut.

But on topic, I'll most definitely throw money at Big G before Epsiode IX.

I'm also looking forward to Godzilla 2 and even Pacific Rim Uprising. Loved the kaiju in the first PR, hoping for more cool fights in the sequel. I also like shared universes.....can't wait for Kong vs Godzilla, that's going to be a lot of fun I'm sure.

I have heard this was the case before too. From what I understand Leia was who they wanted to be the original trilogy focal point going forward. I've also heard that J.J. Abrams had some very different ideas for Luke. I heard that floating rocks scene was originally what J.J. had planned for him. He wasn't going to cut Luke off from the force and make him a hermit. Supposedly Rian Johnson asked Abrams to change it. My guess is he agreed because at that time Abrams wasn't supposed to be back for Episode 9.

I'm not sure who's calling the shots on the overall story for this trilogy, but they clearly didn't have a very respectful idea of how to treat the original trilogy cast. And they are paying for it with the beating they are getting from OT fans. lol

Ford always wanted his character to die in the movies. If that hadn’t happened I’m fairly sure we wouldn’t have seen Solo at all in the ST. He died by the hands of his son who is now fractured, to say the least. Carrie Fisher died irl. I mean, come on. They weren’t done with Leia yet, she survived TLJ. Even then she had a beautiful shot in the movie where she really showed off her force powers for the first time. And Luke was being portrayed as a human being ending in peace, back where it all started, under twin suns. Just before having showed us some extraordinary force powers. He died as a true jedi master, using the force for defense. That scene was fantastic. Imo, they treated the original cast, who were not the main characters of this new trilogy, with a ton of respect.

And it is the PT fans that are angry... ;)

That’s what everyone believes. But it’s the only conclusion that makes sense. The anti trollers hsve kept the details of Thiago making secret. To create and become one, you have to be adept in trolling. And the Thiagos were the only other order of troll sensitives the galaxy has ever known.

Know what rubs me the wrong way about TCW? Obi Wan is made out to be weak. He never wins duels. Constantly gets beat to a pulp then barely makes it out alive.
Hopefully DICE don’t take inspiration from his weakness in TCW

The first time? He got crushed and had to be saved by Ventress.

Running away is Grievous' special skill :)

    Brave Sir Grievous ran away.

    Bravely ran away away.

When danger reared it's ugly head,
He bravely turned his tail and fled.

Yes, brave Sir Grievous turned about
    And gallantly he chickened out.

Ventress is fairly strong, she has two lightsabers and many years of training in the force. On terrain favorable to her (literally her home turf), I could see her winning, at least long enough for grievous to decide killing her isn’t worth his time

For some it's taken a bit to get used to, as the characters aren't able to be fleshed out completely in such limited running time. But relative to a lot of other Disney Star Wars content at the moment, it really does a great job blending new and old together and not betraying the lore.
