Nothing new or good has been mentioned yet ever since TLJ dlc. (Blasters, Starcarfs, etc..) Anyone else about to explode? I think I just wasted saving my credits. I should spend it all now!!

Don't lose control and burn them all. Maybe burn 20k or so to satisfy the urge.

I've got a pile of credits & CPs I'm sitting on. When the credit pile gets bigger I burn through it back down to my magic number. Then I use the CPs for upgrades in the same manner.

This way I'm continuing to progress with cards, but still have plenty to go wild when new things are eventually/finally added.
Yes, play! Yes, a gamer's strength flows from adjustment. But beware of the nerf side...not adapting your tactics, stubbornness, wanting the game catered to you; the nerf side of gaming are they. Easily they flow, quick to join you in a death & respawn. If once you start down the nerf path, forever will it dominate your destiny, consume you it will, as it did many an apprentice.

isn't 90k credits like 2500 crafting parts lol?
  • The moneys basically worthless, 70% of the cards aren't even worth purpling

  • I saved up 215,000 credits.

    That’s just excessive.
  • I've got 80k saved up. I'd have more if I hadn't lost patience and burned 50k after the last patch.

AnarchYxNinja has well over 500k, haha.
  • How much is 14.500 crafting parts in credits? ?
  • I have 635.000. I spent some for a few purple cards.

I go with the blue cards upgraded. It's almost as good as purple anyways.

I have like 190k credits and 8200 crafting parts. I really don't feel like spending any of them anymore, nothing I can upgrade seems worth it at all.
I have purpled a few cards that I use all the time but not all of them. Sometimes the upgrade is so insignificant it just isn't worth the 480 parts.

300k credits & 4k CP. This is with spending regularly the last few weeks. I'm just not spending faster than I accrue. I've probably spent around 60k & 1500 CP since 1.2.

He also said that DICE will give us information beforehand whether we should spend the credits for CP or keep them. So it's illogical at the moment to spent them on CP.

Don't spend it all at once. I only have 90 crafting parts, pretty much just from daily crates.

Yes! I sit on 30k credits and was feeling a little insignificant reading this thread but I feel better now.

  • Spend them all. If you simply MUST have the new stuff fully upgraded Day One then make an educated guess as to how much it may cost and keep that amount. It really only takes a couple of days of grinding to make the necessary credits to get the new hero, ship, or whatever.

As for not upgrading to purple, I don't understand the logic. It's part of the game so why not upgrade? You can argue that it's not worth the credits/cp but what else are you going to spend it on? There's only so many new things that will ever be released and there you are sitting on a pile of credits.

Screenshot is from my BF15 account. Fully upgraded and what good are any of the 7,751,756 credits? Couldn't spend them on anything.

Just my theory on some people's logic around not upgrading to purple... This is based on a few forum posts I've seen over the last weeks (and a couple of friends said this to me while playing). Some think the CP cost to go from blue to purple may be lowered with the progression revamp. I suspect that line of thought is more prevalent than people actually admit to.

I've upgraded a few cards to purple recently, but only because I deemed them worth the cost. Otherwise I've been just taking a lot from green to blue as the return on investment is better.

There are a ton of cards that I feel need to be leveled up. With 480 CP I can take ONE card from blue to purple. OR I can take two cards I don't have from ZERO to blue. There are a few cards where the purple is worth it, but not right now, not for me. I need all the cards I regularly use to be at Blue, then I can move on to purple. I have a few purples from pre-order and celebration crates, but no purchased purples. I do have a lot all of my main cards blue though. My front line load outs (assault/heavy/officer/specialist) all blue. Virtually all of the starfighters (including hero ships) all blue. Next will be the heroes, then the reinforcements. Don't play HvV a ton but I have a few of the characters leveled to the point where I can play without feeling under powered. Point is, the opportunity cost to go from zero to blue is acceptable, while going from blue to purple is not.

I also think the progression revamp will include dropping the CP price for purple to 240. Just makes too much sense.

  • What are you holding for? The only way to get them to release new content is after you lose all hope. Spend all your credits and blow all crafting part stashes, then and only then a jedi will you be.

This is interesting, because I have done the complete opposite. My philosophy is this: Common, Uncommon, and Rare cards can all be gained randomly through crates, and since finding them in crates saves you from having to spend 40, 80, or 120 crafting parts, it is much better to find them than it is to purchase them. Every time I found a new Common Card, I know it saved me from 30-45 minutes of grinding. Epic cards on the other hand, are the only cards that cannot be found randomly, which leaves the acquisition of them left only through purchasing them with crafting parts, (or a surprise award through an event of some kind). Yes, they pale in comparison with regards to a "bang-for-your-buck" but there simply is no other way of obtaining them right now. We struggle with these opposing views, which I think is why so many are hoarding their credits. We don't like the options right now.

I have saved no credits, and I have all heroes with full decks of purple cards and over 80 purple cards total... I have no regrets.

Right there with you. In most cases the difference between blue & purple just doesn't warrant spending the CPs now (there are a few that do). I have 15 purples, and the overwhelming majority of those were from pre-order, deluxe edition, campaign completion, & TLJ award. My focus has been on getting greens to blue. I've unlocked all the cards, but there are quite a lot that I know I'll never use. No need to waste CPs on those unless it's absolutely necessary (ex. have to reach rank XX to upgrade blues to purple, so have to upgrade unused cards)

I think the revamp will lower the price as well. 240 would be great. I have a feeling they'll only go 360 though.

I will expand my previous comment to say that with the exception of assault, heavy, and specialist (all at level 41) and a few of the starfighters (a few cards away from being all blue), I've taken the card upgrading as far as I can without being purple. I've been upgrading various characters that I tend to use the most to purple as I can.

If they were to lower the cost of epic cards it would suck being that all of those crafting parts have already been spent but I look at it like it is what it is.

    Impressive...most impressive.

Everyone has their own approach, and each one has their own merits. I've considered doing a mass upgrade recently, but just haven't brought myself to pull the trigger. I could upgrade 8 to purple as soon as logging in later, and could do probably an additional dozen or more if I spent all my credits this evening.

What are you saving for?!? A new progression system? New hero's? Just spend it all on crates and get those crafting parts you need to get the best Star Cards..

When they introduce a new progression system you'll probably get everything you spent on the current system refunded to spend on the new system.. At least that is what you would expect if EA DICE had any idea what they were doing, which I agree is questionable.. But I would still not save up anything in this game, it's simply not worth the wait, just try and get the most out of it as is.. Unless of course you have every Star Card purple you want or need already, then I guess it's ok to just save up your credits as there's no point in buying crates anymore..

I have 300k for the new content when it comes out. 67 purple cards so far.
  • This thread is interesting to me because I'm kind of in the middle. I've got about 225k credits saved up, but have purples already on all my mains -- assault, heavy, armor, fighers, interceptor, bomber, etc. I've also purpled a couple of heroes and ships to finish milestones. I could spend more on a few heroes, but I'm better with enforcers and ships anyway.

It's hard to know whether to just burn the credits on crates since we don't know what the next progression will look like, or even when it will come. I suspect it will lower the cost of purples, and I was annoyed after getting 100k or so of credits before the last patch since the value of duplicates went up.

After reading the details on the progression I'm a bit torn on upgrading cards. Can't decide if I want to go ahead and upgrade some lesser used heroes now via CPs...get them at least to a rank that can allow upgrading cards to purple level.

There's no way I'll spend all my credits or CPs, but I'm considering using a quarter of both this weekend.

Edit: after reading the discussion post comments from the dev team, I may just burn some credits to have a huge pile of CPs to convert to skill points.
